Lu Moroccan Restaurant
My best friend and I have always been adventurous when it comes to food. We love eating out since our college days. And now that we no longer go to school together, we still make it a point to catch up with each other’s lives while exploring new places to eat.
For this bonding session, we decided to try out Lu, a Moroccan restaurant located at Joya Rockwell. A restaurant’s interior is an essential feature if you want to make a good impression with clients. Lu did not fail us in this aspect. It has a warm ambience and its interior is very light on the eyes. We were seated upstairs so we felt really comfortable and relaxed.
For starters we decided to try:
Crispy Spring Roll with shitake mushroom (P275)
This dish was very crispy and the coriander added to the fragrance of the spring rolls but overall it’s just average.
Truffle Mac N Cheese and 5 Cheeses at that! (P450)
For me this dish was a Fail. First, I do understand that truffle is quite expensive hence, the price. But this dish is still not worth it. It’s small, and we only tasted the truffle on the middle part of the dish.
Poached White Flounder on Lemon Risotto (P475)
We liked the tang of the risotto and the fish was fresh, but again, this dish is not above average.
Apricot and Prune Moroccan Lamb Stew (P395)
This dish is my personal favorite. I loved the Couscous; it was finer than the usual. The lamb was very soft and tasty. This dish was bitin!!!
Lime and Basil Cocktail (P200+)
The waiter recommended us to try this, it was actually pricey but it tasted great! The waiter also suggested that the cocktail be split into two. The combination of Lime and Basil made the drink so fragrant and refreshing. THIS IS A MUST TRY!!!
FFF- 3F’s: Most of the dishes were just average and the price can be quite expensive. But there are also some dishes that are worth trying!
